Soon after, he was glaring down Sheba, who was chasing down one of his kids, but Felix had seen and stepped in to diffuse the situation. He joined Donald in teasing Mickey about his crush on Minnie. Oswald doesn't appear in Book One and isn't mentioned either, although the circus is brought up when Boris watches them on tv (chapter 1).īook 3 is when Oswald makes his first appearance. The only ones who could break through to him were his children, but he still didn't speak, using a chalkboard or notepad to communicate.
When Ortensia died from Ink Illness, it completely broke him. He and Ortensia had a duo performance with him as a magician and Ortensia as his assistant.
He grew to see the circus as his family as well. He even brought up a time when he and a few friends tried to rob a bank (Chapter 106)! He has always been very close with his family, seeing as he was always traveling and performing with them. He did brag about his misadventures and mischief that he got into in his younger days while adventuring. He and his family traveled around the globe with the Circus Crew as they performed and adventured. Mickey brings up that when he and Ozzy were younger, he would make up songs to sing to Mickey (Chapter 52). Not much is known about Oswald's childhood except that he grew up with Fanny and Ortensia and that he's Mickey's older brother.
